Russia may delay launch of alcohol online sales till 2019
MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- Russia could delay permitting online sales of alcohol until January 1, 2019 from the previously planned 2018, while first authorization will be given only to breweries, wineries, and wholesalers, according to an amended bill released on Tuesday on the portal regulation.gov.ru.
Russia was to allow online sales of beer, cider, poiret, local wine. The range of beverages was to expand from 2019.
The amended document keeps limitations, but postpones the dates of coming in force to January 1, 2019.
Online sales of alcoholic drinks have been discussed for several years already.
